M.Tech in Machine Design is a 2- year post graduate program covering the essential concepts and processes involved in the design and manufacture of machines and machine- related items. The program is an offshoot of Mechanical Engineering, focusing on machine design using analytical, numerical and experimental approaches. The considerations, procedures and principles of machine design are introduced to the learnes along with statistical concepts, engineering materials and their mechanical properties.
The programme facilitates the study of various materials required for the design of mechanical elements. In addition, it aims to endow knowledge of the behaviour of materials and systems in both elastic and plastic ranges, failure modes and mechanisms in both static and dynamic conditions. Learners enroll for this programme get opportunities to be involved in projects that enhance their practical knowledge of the subject and prepare them for the industry-environment.
1. M.Tech- Machine Design & Prod is a Lateral Entry for Working Professional Program, recognized by UGC.
2. The programme is of four semesters, with online classes conducted on weekends or after business hours.
3. Contact-less and safe Online exams facility.
4. Lectures are delivered by faculty members and experienced industry professionals.
5. The Dissertation in the final semester enables students to apply concepts and techniques learnt during course work to solve current environmental problems.
6. The programme uses a Continuous Evaluation System that assesses the learners over convenient and regular intervals. Such a system provides timely and frequent feedback and helps busy working professionals stay on course with the programme.
7. Participants who successfully complete the programme are awarded with Master’s Degree in Machine Design & Prod.
