The programme covers the fundamentals and engineering aspect of designing and developing IC based systems. Traditionally VLSI technology has emerged out as a successful conglomeration of two streams: material science and electrical engineering. The state of the art VLSI technology requires research in physical devices as well as novel design and development of electrical circuit. The program will focus on developing hands-on skill of designing semiconductor devices and circuits, architecting systems using embedded components such as, CPU, memory and peripherals. Students will be trained in several topics that cut across different domain, starting from lowermost level of physical devices to the top level of application development.
M.Tech (Masters of Technology) VLSI Design is a postgraduate VLSI Design programme. The duration of the course is a 2-Year post-graduation course which is further divided into 4 semesters of six months each.
1. M.Tech. (ECE) -Communication System is a Lateral Entry for Working Professional Program, recognized by UGC.
2. The programme is of four semesters, with online classes conducted on weekends or after business hours.
3. Contact-less and safe Online exams facility.
4. Lectures are delivered by faculty members and experienced industry professionals.
5. The Dissertation in the final semester enables students to apply concepts and techniques learnt during course work to solve current environmental problems.
6. The programme uses a Continuous Evaluation System that assesses the learners over convenient and regular intervals. Such a system provides timely and frequent feedback and helps busy working professionals stay on course with the programme.
7. Participants who successfully complete the programme are awarded with Master’s Degree in (ECE) -Communication System.
